Back-up Child and Adult/Elder Care

As an employee of Manatt, you can use Bright Horizons for up to 10 backup care days each calendar year. Manatt subsidizes the cost of this care, so your cost is significantly lower than other emergency care. You pay:

• $15 per child or $25 per family for center-based childcare
• $6 per hour (minimum of 4 hours) for in-home child or adult care.

In addition to back-up care, you have access to Sittercity, College Nannies, Tutors, Test Prep Tutoring and more!

The Firm is partnering with Homethrive to support employees managing elder and family caregiving responsibilities. While caregiving costs are not covered, this program offers expert guidance and resources through a digital platform and licensed social work professionals called Care Guides. Homethrive provides personalized support for elder care, disabilities, chronic conditions, Medicare, veterans’ needs, and child and teen caregiving, helping you balance your professional and personal life.

Receiving Benefits

You can begin receiving Plan benefits after a licensed health practitioner has certified that you have been chronically ill (according to the Plan’s definition) for 90 days. The plan pays benefits for the following services, up to Plan limits:

• Home care
• Care advisory services
• Hospice home care
• Adult day care
• Respite care
